Live! Egypt vs Jordan in the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 on beIN SPORTS
With Jordan already assured of top spot in the group, head coach Jamal Sellami may opt to rotate his squad, keeping key players fresh for the upcoming quarter-finals. That luxury, however, is not available to Egypt. After twice striking late to salvage draws in their opening matches, the Pharaohs sit second in the group and know that victory is required to confirm their place in the knockout stage alongside the Nashama.
Players to Watch
Akram Tawfik has been one of Egypt’s standout performers with his versatility across the pitch. Nominally starting at right-back, he has frequently drifted into central defence, provided numbers in midfield, and even pushed forward as a winger. The Al Shamal player has brought energy and dynamism, using intelligent runs and technical quality to unsettle opposing defences while remaining reliable defensively.
For Jordan, Mohannad Abu Taha was instrumental in his nation’s victory over Kuwait, scoring a spectacular long-range goal from a well-worked set piece. Dominant down the left flank, he has combined physical presence with tireless effort at both ends of the pitch and has been a crucial complement to the attacking flair of Ali Olwan and Yazan Al Naimat.
