Tunisia face Palestine today in a pivotal FIFA Arab Cup 2025 Group A match that could determine their tournament fate. The Eagles of Carthage must respond after a disappointing 1-0 loss to Syria in their opening game.
A finalist in 2021 and winner of the first Arab Cup in 1963, Tunisia now face early elimination if they fail to secure a much-needed victory. Head coach Sami Trabelsi described the defeat to Syria as “painful,” urging his players to deliver a performance that reflects their true potential.
Meanwhile, Palestine enter the match with momentum after a dramatic 1-0 win over host nation Qatar in stoppage time — their first-ever victory in the competition. The historic result boosted team confidence, and coach Ihab Abu Jazar believes his squad is ready to fight for another upset.
With Palestine leading Group A, a draw or another victory would put them on the verge of the Arab Cup 2025 quarter-finals. Tunisia, on the other hand, must win to keep their qualification hopes alive and avoid an early exit.
